You may have to click through a couple things and then you are there and can start uploading.
TIPS:
Audio Files – Formats excepted are .WAV and .AIFF (even if you started in a different format you should be able to output one of these formats. MP3s are a compressed and degraded file format for consumer listening to improve storage, and are not for mixing and mastering.)
Track Output – When outputting the individual tracks, make sure they are labeled and all start AND end at the same place. (For example, you should select the whole song length to output for each track, even if a track only plays near the end or some short section. This will make the proper timing of each track to each other easy to align.)
NO MIDI – All midi instrumentation need to be printed to an audio track and output properly with the rest of the tracks.
File Organization – Each song should be put into its own folder if we are mixing and mastering. (Include a rough mix of the track. Include notes as to what you are looking for. “We want the bass bigger. The vocals could be louder.” Whatever it is that you are looking for. The more information you provide upfront will cut down on the revisions later.
Reverb and Processing – In general you want to leave the reverb and ambiance processing to the final mix and not be outputting tracks with reverb printed in them. Tracks should be as raw and unprocessed as possible. With that said, let’s say you have a track where you wanted a vocal part to sound like an old time radio, and you have used the perfect low-fi plug-in to get exactly what you want with that sound. That would be a track that I would output with the desired effect already printed. Any processing that you have done to make the instrument absolutely unique I would print with the track. Processing on a vocal track that just controls the dynamics and EQ, I would leave raw and let us mix it.
Final Mix Output Level – There are differing opinions on what the final digital output db level should be. Please indicate where you want that final digital output to be, like 0db, -0.1db, -0,5db, -1.0db
Target LUFS – Let us know if you have a particular LUFs level you are shooting for in the final master.
NO DAW session files! For example if you recorded your tracks in FL Studio and wanted to send us the FL Studio mixing file, it is not necessary. The DAW mixing files are not needed.
